Knauf Naturoll is a glass wool insulation roll designed to fit tightly between the joists of a roof structure or timber floor. The material is vapour permeable, allowing moisture to escape from the construction and helping to prevent wood rot. It is non-combustible, available in a range of thicknesses, and suitable for both pitched roofs and floors.

Gramitherm is a biobased insulation material made from natural grass fibres. Pitched roof insulation can be done either from the inside (between the rafters) or from the outside (under the roof covering). The best method depends on the roof structure, your budget, and whether the roof is being renovated or replaced.

Popular materials include glass wool, PIR boards, stone wool, and insulation foil. PIR offers a high insulation value with a slim profile, making it ideal when space is limited. Glass wool is more affordable and also provides good sound insulation.
